New moon 🌑 in Pisces ♓︎
The moon conjuncts the sun symbolizing a new beginning in the mutable water sign of Pisces. On March 5th, the sun will conjunct Jupiter in Pisces, expanding this already dreamy and nebulous energy.
Water is known for its ability to adapt- it flows, finds the path of least resistance, it becomes the shape of its container. It represents the ultimate form of passive quality. On top of that, there are virtually no fire signs active for this new moon, it’s mostly water and earth.
Adaptation is the ability to shift and meet the needs of the waters within our life. We must be able to ride and flow with them without being engulfed by them. Every day we shift our energies to align with what we meet, this begins with being receptive- to feelings, energies, visions, dreams and intuition.
The lesson of water is learning how to shape shift, course correct, wash away, hydrate, purify, and continuously flow. Pisces is the last sign in the zodiacal year, and in this way it purifies all the experiences of the year prior to create a clean slate for Spring. The winter stripped everything bare, and with new life beginning to grow we have an opportunity to put some intention behind it.

Pisces
10 of Cups
This new moon you are being called to protect your peace. The image on the card shows the sky after a storm with a rainbow; a happy family walking up to a peaceful home. What you don’t see is everything it took to get to this point- the trials and tribulations, heartbreaks, storms, losses and gains. Your dream is here but only because you truly fought for it and knew how to protect it. Give yourself credit, and release any residual guilt you may have. You officially have permission to embrace the abundance coming your way, but you already knew that, didn’t you?
Aries
8 of Wands
Even though half the zodiac is underwater this new moon, Aries you may still be trying to push through, make some moves and see some action. If the messages and requests are coming in, you may as well go with that flow, even if it was unexpected. This energy is very fast moving and will be gone before you know it, so make the best of it while you can, and while everyone else was sleeping they will be amazed at how much you’ve accomplished.
Taurus
8 of Swords
Taurus, you may be feeling indecisive about something this new moon. Stress and anxiety have been piling up and it’s created a crippling form of self-sabotage known as fear. But if you take a moment to practice mindfulness or meditate; you’ll see that you had access to your intuition all along, you just had to sort out some of the false narratives you’ve either heard or been telling yourself. Wash away your doubts and reconnect with what you know is the truth.
Gemini
Queen of Cups
The lotus flower is known as a symbol of spiritual ascension, because its roots are grounded underwater in mud, and the blooming flower represents the instinct to transcend our material reality. This phenomenon is guiding you during this time. You may be getting a lot of spiritual downloads during this moon, or have a lot of emotions come up. Honor them, protect them, listen to them. Your feelings are there to guide you.
Cancer
6 of Swords
During this new moon, you may be moving on from a rough situation, but with the help of a friend or confidante you are being guided to calmer waters. Moving forward despite our past hurts is an act of courage, and the gift of being courageous is expanding your horizons with a deeper sense of compassion.
Leo
The Empress
This card is represented by Venus, the planet of love, beauty and fertility. When she appears it’s a sign to connect to the bounty of nature, wherever you are. Convening with nature gets us back in touch with the inherent abundance this world has to offer. Self-care isn’t an act of indulgence, it’s a matter of survival. The Empress just knows how to do it really well.
Virgo
8 of Cups
You tried to make an emotional situation balanced by re-arranging it in a bunch of different ways, but alas, none of them seemed to work and it kept falling apart. It’s best to move forward and find something that is more in alignment, and less of a mismatch for your energy. Leaving behind the familiar may be scary, but it’s not as scary as staying where you were and repeating the same unsuccessful cycle over again.
Libra
Ace of Cups
This new moon you’re being called to embrace a new path, a new romance, or a new opportunity- any seeds you plant now will have the blessing of the Ace of Cups- a sign of abundance, emotional fulfillment, and spiritual ascension. All you need to embrace it is an open mind and an open heart.

Sagittarius
2 of Cups
When you feel fulfilled and confident in your personal life and all your needs are met, you meet others from a state of wholeness. By nature of the law of resonance, when you meet others in this state, they will be in this same frequency. This is how beautiful and meaningful connections are made. Anyone you meet now has the potential to be an ally of sorts. This new moon cycle is a great time to put yourself out there.
Capricorn
3 of Cups
This new moon is a great time to connect with a group of close friends, or get creative with a group of people. There is immense healing in doing something creative with others, whether it be a collaboration, exercise class or going on a roadtrip- as long as there’s meaningful connection. There’s only so much you can do by yourself, with the help of others you will reach new heights, both internally and externally.
Aquarius
The Emperor
The lesson of the Emperor is to accomplish your goals through discipline and with a solid foundation. This means looking at and studying the traditional roles in place, and understanding them so you can further make them your own. Lean into your leadership abilities, create structure if it isn’t already there, and stick to your plan through to the end. With the level of willpower you’re currently harnessing, you’ll be able to accomplish whatever you set your mind to.
