We’re officially entering the peak energy of the Lionsgate Portal on August 8, 2024. It’s the prime of fiery Leo season, which is guiding us to embrace our inner strength and the power of our will. This retrograde plays a significant role in our manifestations. It suggests that the things coming into our lives now are not entirely new but have been in the works for a long time. Mercury retrograde invites us to revisit, reevaluate, and redo something from the past. This is a powerful time to bring back projects or ideas that you have been working on for a long time, and breath into them new life.

Our post here wouldn’t be complete without a full and detailed ritual guide for this powerfully auspicious time. 

Materials:

-A yellow or gold candle (representing Leo+ the Sun)

-A piece of paper/journal + pen

-Crystal of your choice (I.E. Citrine, Quartz, Carnelian, or Tigers eye)

-Small dish of salt

-Small dish of water (Florida water works as well)

-Matches/lighter

-Essential oil: Frankincense or rosemary/ your choice

-Altar space dedicated to your ritual

Steps:

1. Create a sacred space. Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed. Set up your altar with the candle, crystal, salt, water and essential oil.
2. Purification. Using the water or Florida water, cleanse your hands and visualize it washing away negativity or doubts. Sprinkle some salt around your space to purify the area.
3. Set intentions. Write down on a piece of paper what you wish to manifest. Be specific and use the present tense, starting with “I am thankful for [desired manifestation].”
4. Anoint the candle. Take the essential oil and anoint the candle but rubbing a few drops on the candle, at the base of the wick and along the sides. 
5. Light the candle. As you light your candle, keep your visualizations in your mind, and hold the crystal in your left palm as you meditate. Let the candle burn all the way down.
6. Final affirmation: As you hold the crystal, say an affirmation such as “I am in alignment with the powerful energy of the lions gate portal. I attract abundance, love and prosperity into my life. So it is.” Feel free to tailor this to your need. After this, take a moment similar to shavasana in yoga, and just sit in the energy of your ritual for a few moments. When ready, thank the universe for its support and guidance.

One of the biggest parts of manifestation and ritual work, is once you finish, try to forget about it and just live your life as normal, and trust in the divine timing of your work. Remember that you are naturally a co-creator with the universe.
