Kerry Sherman (formerly Kerry Krogstad) is a multimedia artist based in Los Angeles, California. She received an Associate of Arts degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in 2008, studied studio art at the Brentwood Art Center, and has maintained an independent studio practice for over a decade.
Drawing from Hermeticism, astrology, mythology, and the architecture of the subconscious, Sherman creates layered digital collages that explore the tension between the physical and ethereal worlds. Influenced by Dadaist collage, symbolic surrealism, and archival imagery, she recontextualizes vintage materials into dreamlike compositions centered on transformation, ritual, memory, and psychological space. Her ongoing studies in Hermetic philosophy continue to inform both her visual language and conceptual approach.
Sherman’s work has been exhibited at Art Hearts Fashion in Los Angeles and New York City, featured in group exhibitions at the Rose Room in Venice Beach, and presented in her first solo exhibition at New Profanity in Los Angeles in 2018. Most recently, her work was included in a curated group exhibition presented through Artsy in collaboration with Create! Magazine (2026). Her work has also been featured in Bust Magazine, JustLuxe, and Art of the Times.
In addition to her fine art practice, Sherman is the creator of The Meta Muse Tarot (2022) and is currently developing a secondary deck.
