Reflecting on the last year from the vantage point of Capricorn, the goat that climbs mountains so high on hooves so small it seems to defy logic and physics, yet it charges onward and upward. ♑︎
We surpassed the peak of long nights at the recent Winter Solstice and have the opportunity to decide what we want to see on the horizon. ♑︎
Capricorn is efficient, cardinal Earth energy that likes forward movement and grounded action. Ruled by the authoritarian planet Saturn, it asks us to get down to business in a way that is practical and responsible, with our past mistakes distilled down to experience and wisdom. It’s no coincidence that coming up with New Years Resolutions happens during the season of Capricorn, and you better believe to-do lists can be a potent form of magic. Each small, methodical step planned is part of the next ascent. Besides if we didn’t make plans, would the gods+goddesses even have an opportunity to laugh? ♑︎
